| Been playin for a year now, and i'm 2K up playin good steady low-limit holdem. But I cannot get over how this game continues to amaze me. It's only recently that I've got over the overwhelming change to my game made by Mike's little pearls of wisdom in his Fundemental Secrets, and then I read 1 sentence of lou kriegers More Hold'em excellence and it feels like a playin a new game again. "Try and play only raising and folding - don't call" (Well it was'nt quite that drastic but the principle was the same). Man what a different game - I was amazed at the immediate discipline playin this way gives you. I was sitting on the button with A-10, KJ ETC facing overcalled raises. When thinking could i re-raise - the answer was normally a definate NO. In the large majority of cases folding was the way to go. When I did flop a hand, boy did i get plenty of action. Made a nice lil profit in a 2/4 game. And I knew I was the Guv'nor at the table - lol it's lovely not havin to protect your blind. Anyway's I think at limits you can afford it's quite fun, and I beleive it teaches you loads. Regards HH | ||
