| I'm flying to Vienna in August and I'm looking for the excitement and fun of home game poker in Eastern Europe. I may hit a casino or two but what I'm really looking for are home game players who wouldn't mind a stranger sitting in, playing some, and then writing about the experience (names concealed to protect the guilty if necessary). I'll have a car and access to the great public transportation. So if you know of any games or any people who might know of any games in the following countries please let me know. I'm looking for home games in the following countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovenia, Moldova, Macedonia, Albania, Germany, Poland, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Yugoslavia Thanks to anyone who can supply me with contacts. If people want to check me out and make sure I'm legit, they can do a google groups search under asha34. Ashley Adams | ||

| Hmm. You think so? The most interesting times I've ever had traveling have invariably been connected to people I've met. Seemed like a good way. Except for the obvious, "DUH??!!" why do you think this would be particularly dangerous? Ashley on 26. | Let me once again repeat the question "what do I know?" very little really when it comes to world travel. I've only heard that some of the countries you mentioned had become somewhat "lawless" after the fall of communism. I'm also very wary of "home games" that I don't know all of the participants even in this country. It just seems to me that combining the two activities would be risky to both purse and person. I would only hope that you are far more knowledgeable of these issues than I am. Once again best of luck. takedown (parinoid old man) | ||
