I discovered the hand analyzer on twodimes through a post on UPF and I wanted to know, before relying on it too much, how the more probability focussed among you feel about its reliability and accuracy at predicting live play results? Thanks in advance.

The following message from jimmyjoe was posted at least 11 times last night in various threads. I'm responding, because some of you may have seen it.

from jimmyjoe...

Mike Caro is apparently not man enough to face up to his own words. He's been deleting references to himself all night long. Gotta love hypocrisy:

[ Link deleted ] EXPLANATION FROM MIKE CARO...

For those who are wondering, the reference was to a post I made on RGP that was easily understandable within the context of the discussion there, but would be outrageously impolite here.

Specifically, it responded to someone by name who had received a video of a non-released interview I had conducted on cheating. The tape was sent in violation of an agreement and was personal to me. The receiver of the video then, without thinking it through or because he was unaware of the circumstances, publicly thanked the sender who was acting illegally.

I wrote back, repeating the structure of his words, but changing the actual words, to -- in effect -- ask the question (by example): “How would you feel if some unauthorized person distributed your personal videos that made you uncomfortable without your permission? How would you feel about me thanking them?”

To make this clear, the poster who thanked the sender, wrote this about receiving my private tapes where I had interviewed cheaters privately in preparation for an announced public interview…

“I just received my copy of ‘The Cheating Tapes’ courtesy of the GCA... I appreciate the GCA for having given me pause to think about the issue of cheating in poker. I had never given it any thought prior to the onslaught of GCA postings some time ago.”

My response was…

“I have just received my copy of ‘[name of that poster deleted] and His Wife Having Sex Tapes’ courtesy of GCA. I appreciate GCA for having given me the opportunity to see this private intimacy. I had never given it any thought prior to the onslaught of GCA postings some time ago.”

It was a direct parallel. What followed were posts by some people who -- for reasons I still don't understand -- thought it was an attack on the sexual life of the poster and others who screamed about these people’s lack of reading comprehension.

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

The software upon which the web-page is built is bug free. As such, I'm fairly certain that the results are correct. Unfortunatly, they are monte carlo results in many cases. If you want to know what the true equity is you can check out Steve Brecher's hold'em evaluator at http://www.brecware.com or my hold'em evaluator at http://prock.freeshell.org

I should also mention that the software at http://www.twodimes.net handles many games, not just hold'em.
