Low Limit River Question, DJ, 19. Jan 2003 21:23 | ||

| Hi All, Looking for a little feedback. I play LL online micro up to 1-2. Lately, I've started to think I am leaving a lot of money at the river in terms of not extracting enough bets out of my opponents. Here is an example; 1. Checking the river with the nut strait when the third flush card hits. Is this something I should only be doing when two of the flush cards came on the flop vs. on the turn and river? Remember! this is online micro- people could have called all the utg with 92s or are just betting a queen on a K high board. I tend to be a little more wary as people at these limits are much more likely to play any soooted cards. What are some general percentages I could use as rules of thumb vis a vis a flush being out there? Lately, I have been keeping an eye on this and I think I am losing bets by checking here (although sometimes you induce a bluff). Thoughts? Thanks in advance, DJ | ||

| Betting the river with a straight in this spot is much easier when your opponents are so timid that they won't check-raise with their 92s because they're scared of a bigger straight. | ||
