| This situation occurred online and I don't imagine it is all that uncommon but it got me thinking about what strategic adjustments I should make and how I could take advantage of it. Two players at opposite ends of the table took a dislike to each other and went to war. Typically, the first two betting rounds and half the third were capped. By the river, the betting was more considered. Both players were very loose with the rest of the table typical. Specifically 1. How does my hand selection change knowing it is going to be capped preflop? How do high cards, big pairs, small pairs, drawing hands rate in this scenario? 2. Assuming the flop gives me a playable hand, how do it proceed? 3. Is this a good game to be in? Thanks in advance for your advice. | ||

| You should restrict your starting hands to big pairs and big suited connectors, the suited connectors being better in multiway pots, and the big pairs stronger when you can isolate the maniacs. You should play your hand in a straight forward manner when you connect on the flop. As for this being a good game, If you like games with huge swings, then it is right up your alley. good luck. | ||
