| I recenlty heard some VERY puzzling advice from Mike Caro stating " That you shouldnt put a player on anything , but you should put him on everything" How can this be? I mean I understand about not putting a player on something and being completely adamant? Dont we still have to make our very best read? Are not Holdem players dependent on their reading abilities? | I don't know.. sometimes I go through phases where I try to put players, or other phases where I really try to find tells but I think it is more dangerous for me to play sociological poker especially on low to med-limit games with players I probably won't play again with. The more I start think what other players have or what other players are thinking the less I think about more solid thoughts like pot odds and correct position tactics. Those are what keep you winning.. | ||

I said that it's dangerous to put a player on a single hand or several hands that seem logical from a "chess-playing-type" standpoint, because players often have hands that can't be justified through such logic.
