| I recently read Roy Cooke's new article. This may be a stupid question, but why would hi-lo games be more suited to mathmatically inclined players? I understand the suitability for stud and holdem. I've gravitated toward the omaha8 live games but prefer no limit holdem. The justification is simply that the players tend to payoff a lot more at the lower limits I'm forced to play at because of my lack of bankroll and lack of experience. | ||

| I haven't read Roy's article yet, but HiLo games tend to be more about mathematical certainty. X number of cards make your hand of Y remaining cards. If you don't get one of the X cards you are virtually certain to lose. This is often clearly known. High only games tend to not have anywhere near that certainty. | ||
