| I recently moved to new york state (Albany), and am having trouble determining if on-line poker is legal up here. There was a recent settlement with the New York Attorney General, PayPal, and Citibank that I believe will block credit card transactions. Any thoughts/recommendations here would be welcome. | ||

| I'm in PA and wondering the same thing...is there a site that lists online poker legality by state? To the best of my understanding (at least right now), it's legal as long as you claim any winnings as income, is this correct? thanks, jasonHoldEm | ||

| In terms of US law, you can start with "Is Online Poker Legal?" http://www.playwinningpoker.com/guide6.html Obviously states and even cities can have all sorts of laws that nobody will ever be able to keep track of. In New York's case, my understanding is the law says anything not specifically called legal is illegal. I haven't read a copy of that law though. | ||
