Regarding Roy's piece in Card Player, Actualizing an Edge Equation. I understand the math - but how do you know you don't have a negative edge of > 20% by calling $60 more with A 8 suited?

A more interesting question would be: How do Roy's calculations consider the rest of the money in the pot?

Hi Guys

It is generally a feel thing....With that much money in the pot you would almost have to be drawing dead to have a greater than 20% loss on the call!

I am NOT a great math guy. I have done poker equations away from the table and have acquired feel from them, but I do not have the capabilities to do hard math problems at the table! I do understand I give up something in my poker game to those that can!
