| I am an avid poker player. I'm looking for a spot for a one week poker vacation. But it must satisfy a couple of other criteria because I'm going with my brother and father. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. My father and brother are avid golfers. For them, this is principally a golfing vacation. They will play low stakes poker while I play mid-limit Stud and 5/10 Holdem or Omaha (or the spread limit equivalent like 1-4-8-8) but they need excellent golf for the week to be fun. We are also all looking for a place with excellent fishing. The place needs to be within 1,200 miles of Minneapolis and be an outdoor location in the Spring (March1-May 1 2004 are our available dates). Any ideas? Thanks. Ashley Adams | ||

| Scottsdale is nice for all three. Great golf, poker heaven at Indian Casinos, ( 30 to 50 poker tables with huge jackpot/promotion pools) and the BASS and Crappie are spawning at Roosevelt and Alamo lakes. Might try camping at Roosvelt, 60 miles to Ft. Mcdowell Casino, or about 10 miles to Parker (i think) with a 4-8 holdem holdem game full of Scottsdale lawyers and doctors. My choice for a vacation spot, and I live in Vegas!! | ||
