| Has anyone read ken Warrens' "Winners guide to Texas Holdem"? And if so could you please tell me what you think about it. It is the only poker book I've read and I'm wondering how others view it compared to other books. Also could i get some recommendations on some other books to get. I've heard good things about "The Theory of Poker". Is this a must read for all poker players? Thanks guys. | ||

| For low limit hold em, there are better books that Warren's I think. Try Lou Kreiger's for low limit casino games. If you can beat the low limit games after reading that, move up to Sklansky's books. Ashley Adams on 21. Dec 2002 21:57 Cade wrote: > Has anyone read ken Warrens' "Winners guide to Texas Holdem"? | Lee Jones is from all the talk around is the one book you want to begin with.. I then reccommend you buy theoty of poker and other advanced books once you are thoroughly familiar with the concepts .. Lou`s book is good as well... jim on 21. | I've played hold'em with Ken, and I'm not impressed with his game. I haven't read his book, and don't expect to. I've seen him call three bets cold before the flop with 54s, and other plays I doubt you'll be advised to follow. He plays too many hands and stays to the river against obvious strength too much. I have doubts that he's a winning player from what I've seen. | ||
