| I've read his work on his site.. and understand the math behind betting bigger on smaller edges, and less on Larger ones. To a non-mathmatical perspective this makes sense to a point. But on 100:0 odds and no chance of losing it comes down (to me) on how much you can bet to get your opponet to stay in. If I have a huge edge (espically the nut) you can't give me a mathmatical formula telling me I should not bet big in this situation (definitley when your opponet is playing loose). | ||

| He has a Yahoo group site... you can join in and read his stuff. Most of it is pretty dry (and IMO he does not every consider the player or the situation - just the odd). But it is unique reading for those of us who can't stop reading about poker theories. | ||

| Turmel is working on a new thing called the Turmel 2-step...basically, knowing that you demand certain pot odds to call/fold vs. top pair, and you're giving up huge equity in the game if you deviate from optimum odds. The work is flawed in that there's always more to consider than the odds. However, it's useful nonetheless--against bad players, most advice has you folding way too often. | ||
