| The debate about Low Limit Hold Em and the way to beat it, is one which is relevant to the majority of players ( i estimate 50% of players, including myself, are low limit ). I would say that i have found not much literature out there about the quirks of LLHE and how to beat it. Through my experience ( i have been seriously playing LLHE for about 50 hours a month both casino and on-line for the past year ) i have learned that the most important factors are a) position b) position ! Hand selection in LLHE should take care of itself, after you realise that those A6 and 89s arent as good as they appear, because IMHO Low Limit players play to tight and too by the book, if you play the button often you will be rewarded with a lot of steals at LL as people will not call you as often they should ( i have read Mike Caro stating thopposite but in my opinion it is the reverse). I am currently winning a lot more sessions than i lose and am slowly moving my way up the stakes ( am currently at $2/4 having done 10c/50, 50c/$1 and $1/2 ) wow big bucks i hear you say !! The point of this post, there is one ! is that not enough there is very little written about LLHE and this is the ' grass roots ' of poker and should be discussed more so making poker more accessable ( is that one s or two ?? ) to everyone. Right thats me done :) | ||

| My experience is very different from yours. Bluffing is rare in LLHE. I do agree that people fold on the river too much, but that is mostly due to the fact that they were on a long shot draw that missed. I believe you success if due primarily to luck, because the long-shots are missing for you. I do, however, agree that very little is written about low limit hold'em. The ones that are written basically tell you to play tight and wait. That's as good as it goes, but it doesn't tell you how to beat the game. I believe that most of the authors have forgotten how to play low limit if they ever played it at all. More importantly, there is little written on playing against multiple opponents. The statistics seem to go out the window when against multiple opponents. I guess that Chaos theory for you. | ||
