Hi Gang,

There is a movement afoot to create "PokerVault" a central players bank for online poker players to make your bankroll totally portable between sites without delays and exorbitant fees. What do you think?

Mary McGuirk of pokerscene.com will be our guest on Monday Night Poker (right after Monday Night Football) tonight. To tune in, go to either http://www.voiceofpoker.com or http://www.liveactionpoker.com and follow the link for tonights show.

Tune in!

Hi, Rick --

I am solidly behind this concept and have previously advocated a "portable poker bankroll" to be used at any ethical online cardroom (or even other gaming sites) at. the player's option.

Mary and I have had preliminary discussions. It is possible that I might become personally involved and lend my name to this, depending on how easily we can "secure the vault," both legally and practically.

I will be urging owners in our industry to strongly consider this "vault." Many have already toyed around with similar concepts, but we haven't made headway. The time is now IF it can be made practical. There are, of course, a myriad of obstacles to jump over or slide under.

I'm aware of most of the objections, if not all of them, and believe we must try to find a way. I wish Mary McGuirk the greatest luck in pursuing this vision.

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

What are your opinions?

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

Mary had expressed your interest to me on the telephone this afternoon, I'd love to have you tune in and possibly weigh in on the concept tonight if you'd like Mike. As always, you are ALWAYS welcome to be on the show.

I really like Mary's ideas, and she seems to have most, if not all, of the bases covered so far. I'll be playing devil's advocate tonight, otherwise it may not be very interesting radio :)

I'll be in the first signup line if it turns out to be feasible. And if Mike endorses it I'll take that as a good indicator that it is feasible.

Hi Jim,
We had a great show last night with Mary McGuirk and a special (actually 2) appearance by the "Mad Genius" himself. If you missed the show it is archived and available.

A great idea that I hope will be a reality a.s.a.p. And all the cardrooms except for Paradise will gain. And if everyone except Paradise joins, Paradise will have to join too.

Just one important point: don't forget the world! I mean, we are a lot of non-US players out here, and we need a convenient way to get our money home. It took quite a while for PayPal to offer withdrawals to Sweden, and now they are gone, and NETeller don't have withdrawals to Sweden available. So, back to square one.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that the Internet is a global place, and non-US citizens need this service as badly as US citizens. So please don't forget us. And I have never managed to figure out why most poker rooms can only put back what I have deposited to my VISA account, while Ladbrokes are happy to put my winnings into my VISA account as well. I guess I should get more comfortable playing pot-limit...

Sometimes this is even more pity -
I am new player but hope to start making cashouts sooner or later but this promising to be even more difficult:
I live in Russia and the only way to cash-out money from poker sites is to request a bank draft/check (no Paypal, Neteller or any other option is available for me, and VISA still do credit back just original buy-in if 180 days or newer). Cashing drafts or US checks in Russian bank cost 7-10% of its amount. I heard that some poker sites do provide an option to send money by wire transfer for fixed fee but not Paradise Poker I am playing at.
