| I was JUST going to post a similar question, but more pointed. I had just visited pokerpages.com and was looking over their poker school and wanted to know from folks (other than Mike Caro, sorry Mr. Caro, but your opinion might be biased) if they belong, and is it worth the 15 per month or 150 per year? Also, they claim their free play is more realistic than other sites since their members really covet their bankrolls, hate to lose etc.. Can anyone comment on this or other schools | ||

| I am not a member of the Poker Pages school, but I have played some on their site. Their play money games do seem more 'realistic', although my experience has been strictly with their play money tournaments. Lee | ||

| Having been a member of pokerschool for exactly one year and now i have terminated my membership i can speek from definite experience.. the school is a great grooming ground to hone game concepts etc to a point..The reason being that it is a school of learning, therefore almost all are learning the ropes.. I feel that three to six months of dedicated study, play, and analysis should be the foundation for the games you wish to become proficeint in...the more games you wish to aspire at the more time you will need BUT I must strongly state you must buy the best material available and study..Learning by the seat of your pants is practically worthless in this age of highly knowledgable players and there are even some very good low limit players who are quite happy at the level they play and fair well at the tables consistently.. I respect Mark and Tina immensely...They`re a class duo... I kinda am annoyed that someone would not value Mike Caros opinion cause the guys a straight shooter all the way... He would not attach his name to something of no value.. jim grass on 9. Dec 2002 14:01 Big Frank wrote: > I was JUST going to post a similar question, but more pointed.
