| I play a fair bit on weekends at a local b&m in 3-6 and5-10 and although I have a fairly good game and my sessions are more pos than neg, I sorta have a whale nametag on me by some of the regulars/not yet pros, and I love this, it makes me money. this is what my question is. In the past with AA If I make a flush i will make a point of not showing my second non flush A and this irratates alot of people cause its contrary to the rules to show only one hole card. But if i flip the flush ace to my opponent and he folds then technically they wont even make me showdown even though one has sorta exposed. Now if I make a Flush with A 7 offsuit in sorta late pos I will sorta make a big deal out of playing not great cards to maintain my " begginer image" Is it wrong of me to do this crap and play these games cause i've had some old farts who have already folded preflop FREAK out on me for this | ||

| According to the "Professional Poker Dealer's Handbook" your hand can be ruled dead if you don't show the exact number of cards dealt at showdown. This means two in Hold'em, three in stud and four on Omaha. | ||

| I realize this is getting technical and thats why i always fight this but, IM not actually declaringif i just flip one card "accidentally" and show it to the only other opponent, according to the CR manager its ok but what im saying is it worth the arguement and hassle which i dont mind, to keep up my image as a beginner?? | ||

| Why keep up the appearance of being a beginner? If you have the knowledge to do so, run your table. Make everyone look at you before they bet or raise. When you are the dominant force at your table, you will take the money. There is no need for tricks or ploys, IMO. | ||

| A few of the regulars in the card room where I play also indulge in this, only showing down one card, nonsense. Personally I don't mind too much. If I really wanted to see their other card I am pretty sure that I could ask the dealer to flip the hand up for me (I think that is true of any player's hand at showdown.). I am not sure about it giving them a beginner type image though. More of a "trying to get away with borderline moves" type of an image IMO. Snorbolus on 8.
