| 1-2 HE hand. I am dealt QQ in Early Position. UTG calls the blind, I raise. Everyone folds to UTG who calls. Flop comes 2h 6d 8s. UTG bets, I raise, he reraises, I call. Turn comes 8c. UTG bets, I call. River comes 7h. He bets. I call. Did I play this correctly or incorrectly? How can I improve my play here? Results later. | ||

| It's low limit, as well as his blind, so you can't put him on a specific hand. What type of player is he? If he's prone to bluffing (worthless in low-limit games), you're doing the right thing by calling him all the way down. Given the above, he could have anything. He didn't reraise pre-flop, so he's probably just defending his blinds, ie, he's not representing strength. But after he called your raise after the flop, I'd have gotten out of town. He could very easily have two pair, and if he does, the second 8 could have filled him up. Besides, there's simply not enough money in the pot to chase him down. | ||

| Let me guess. UTG had 88? You probably overplayed your QQ, though you might not have. 1-2 players are usually not aggressive at all, though some are hyperaggressive. | ||

| I'd have to think about letting it go when the second eight comes on the turn facing a bet. If I play, I'm raising on the turn with the intention of checking it down on the river unless a queen hits. If it's reraised on the turn, I can fold right there. If I'm bet into on the river after having my turn raise called, I can probably fold there as well. The idea is to only invest two more big bets, but also get the most information possible. Just calling on the turn and river doesn't accomplish this. | ||

| Well as it turns out, this fella had an A-8 offsuit. I don't understand how someone could play that UTG with a raise in the pot. Needless to say, he clobbered my queens. | ||
