I've grown to love poker over the last few years. I live in New York City and I'd like to
play more than the few home games that I currently play.

I understand this may be fruitless coming from a stranger, but can anyone recommend
where I might play in Manhattan? Or at least point me in the right direction to find a safe place
that has low stakes games. Thanks, Lou

Come down to Atlantic City. There are good low limit games that you can win because of all the tourists. Its worth the trip.

I live in Central PA. Re: low limit games in A.C.--What do you reccomend for Hold em'? The Taj or Sands? What limits can an intermediate player expect to have a good day against the average tourist? Is $5 -- $10 too high? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tropicanas low limit games are pretty wild. Lots of tourists limping in with anything. If you can win a pot you will win a big one but it gets frustrating when you get AA cracked by 6 8. I play 5-10 at the Taj becuase those games are usually pretty reasonable and you can win a lot of money.

there are games that stem from the days that the Mayfair used to have players for Bridge and Poker. They may be a bit harder to find now, but I will check with some friends of mine! west 72 street comes to mind...

Rumor has it that they started advertising on the internet and got shut down, don't know if this is true ;-)

Yes, I am sure the taj and whatever are fine, lol, but that doesn't help you on a daily basis!

But if you check with any bridge players or backgammon players they may tell you first. If I forget email me at info@pokerscene.com and I will get it for you.
