| i'm a very young player n i was wondering if there are any things i need to learn at this age that is very important. Also are there any books or anything about stu ungar i would love to read them. does anyone recommend any books about reading people(besides mike caro book of tells) thx(n look for me at the tables) | ||

| There's much you should read, but not much to read on reading people. I've been playing for about 5 years and I'm just starting to get a LITTLE better at it. I'm convinced that the ability to put a player on a hand a large percentage of the time AND act accordingly, is the most important and most difficult skill to acquire in poker. How many times have you called a bet on the end, and in your mind you're telling yourself the exact hand that your opponent turns over 3 seconds later. It's frustrating, but at least you're half way there. I think Nolan Dalla is working on a book about Stu Ungar. I'm not sure when it will be published. I understand a film is being made about Stu Ungar. I'm not sure of the details, though Michael Imperioli and some other guy from "The Sopranos" are supposed to be in it. Jeff | ||

| 1st- have read that book about stu will soon be published. watch Card Player for ads. 2nd-if you don't know about pot odds and drawing odds, you should. 3rd-yes, reading players can be good, but may not be THE most important now. 4th-there are many things a newer player needs to learn, but you probably will need to ask more specific questions. | ||
