| As I mentioned sometime earlier, I'm headed down to AC this weekend to play in some (hopefully only one, but I'm being realistic) NLHE satelites for the Dec tourney. One of the many reasons I'm doing this is that this will be the first time I'm getting toplay no limit against people, and not a computer. I've played in the Hoyle WSOP on my computer and believe it or not, I've won it twice. No this isn't Wilson software, but I was proud of myself none the less. The second reason is that I get to play NLHe for the CHEAP ($45.00 for the 300 buy in tourney). Cheap. Any advice for the novice? I see that the blinds go up fairly quickly, I think every 15 minutes. How does this impact one's style of play? Any help would be appreciated. | ||

| As I was waiting for a 10-20 seat I played in one of the NL sateleittes at the Taj last sunday and won. While the blinds do escalate pretty quickly you have enough time to use your skill. The guy next to me had aces twice AK once and AQ twice in about two rounds while I had 55 88 33 as my only good hands. needless to say i eventually ended up heads up against this guy about even in chips and won. I would say you have to be very aggresive.... Most of the players playin in these sateleeites are not experienced NL players. Most have easy tells as well....If you are lucky you can see the flop many times in the first round or so otherwise I would say be aggresive in position and go all in with high pairs and such. Then again im nowhere near an expert.. | ||
