| Hi again everyone, Ok... i am playing at Turning Stone Casino (in Syracuse NY) in a "good" (nice mix of fish and steady players) $5/$10 game with a kill. I had just won the previous pot and now had to post $10 for the next hand. I am on the button, 2 players before me call $10, i look at QJ offsuit, i check, and the blinds both call. The flop is Q J 8 rainbow. Both blinds check, next player bets $10, next player calls and i raise. The blinds drop out and the original bettor but the second caller calls my raise. The turn hits a K. Now i get bet into by the player who just called on the flop. I called "time" looked at the board and decided to call. The river was a 10, a very scary card from my standpoint... but that didnt stop this old man from betting. After looking at the pot and careful consideration I decided to fold the hand. He didnt show it at the end, but i am pretty sure he hit KJ two pair on the turn. Any advice or comments on the way i handled this pot? | ||

Unless I counted it up wrong, you are only getting 5:1 pot odds on the turn, and you need 11:1 to draw for a full house. You probably should lay down there, if you're going to lay down. I think it's a raise-or-fold situation. His behavior suggests straight draw, actually. Betting straight into you suggests a lack of trickiness, so he's probably able to beat whatever you're representing on the flop. | ||
