| Hello I raised with AhJh after 1 ok early limper (OK.) Only one bad player (BP) called. 3 handed. Flop came QcTc9s, which gave me a straight draw. OK check, I bet, BP called, and OK called. Turn came 9d. OK check, I check, BP bet, and OK called. What's my play? Thanks Soh | ||

| I'm not saying folding is terrible, but why are you assuming he has an INSIDE str8 draw? And where do you get TWO overcards from? Did you misread the flop and/or his hand? | ||

| Unless the BP is likely to have VERY little I would think about folding that spot. The straight draw is community to the low end and you might be drawing dead. Also a club might be no good if you catch your card and it is a club. You are getting around 6-1 current and the price is VERY marginal...a situation to be careful in. Roy Cooke on 27. | You need to follow through with a bet on the turn having only two opponents, one of whom has checked to you. The turn-card has merely paired the bottom card so it is not threatening. You have been showing strength all along with your preflop raise and flop bet. Give your opponents a chance to fold which will allow you to win without having to make anything. The problem with checking is that you lose control of the hand and you put yourself in a quandary if the third guy decides to bet which is what happened. Having dogged it on fourth, I think it is close between folding or calling. At this point it probably doesn't matter much what you decide to do. | ||

| I would have BET the turn, you have been showing aggressive right from preflop and you should give your opponents a chance to fold right then and there. It was only the bottom card that paired (the 9) which is different then if the top card paired. By checking you give control of the hand to the last player... he could be betting the trips 9's (worst case), the 10, or even the straight draw (the jack like you) or the flush draw. But one still has to be careful on the river... clubs are a possibility especially since "Bad Players" play ALL kinds of suited junk. What was the final result of this hand? BreadnButter | ||
