Other advantages are the speed of play...the convienence of play and the fact that many of the customers are living in areas without public poker and lack poker experience.

alas, many people like myself feel that with the increased difficulty of funding online poker accounts (credit cards are already going as did firepay, paypal may not be far behind) that the advantages of convienence and the concept of easy players will vanish as new novices won't jump thru the necessary hoops and delays to play online.

Hi, RB --

I agree. That could be a potentially serious problem. Even if significant numbers of players send checks or money directly to the online casinos, these are -- as you suggest -- more likely to be the more dedicated, serious players and the resulting games may not be as profitable for good players.

Hopefully all the casinos will put their heads together and find a solution, if it becomes necessaary.
