I think that you need more information to make correct decisions in 7 card stud. And tells are valuable in this game to make the best plays. Holdem is different... the decisions are clearer to the players. And the notes on paradise help these decisons even more. It is easier to aynalize. That's just my opinion I could be wrong JJK | ||

| I think online stud has it's pros and cons. If you have a hard time keeping track of cards, you can write down the dead cards and keep better track of them. That being said, I pretty much just play at the card club. Stud is a great game to pick up tells, and I think it's just better played live as you can obviously watch your opponents and see how they bet and react to cards, etc. However, if you are looking for a lower rake and available games for very low limits, there is nothing wrong with online stud. I just primarily play for fun though. Paul from MN | ||

| Make sure you adjust your starting cards depending on the ante and bring in structure! At PartyPoker, the ante at 10 20 is a dollar, but at the one two game it is 25 cents...that is comparable to paying $2.50 for every hand in the ten twenty game! HUGE!!!!!!!!! When the ante is very high, like the 1-2 game, you have to play MANY more hands or all your money will go to the antes, but in the ten twenty game, you can afford to sit and wait for hands. I personally like the structure at Party Poker for one reason..the bring in in 3/6 is a dollar and the completion is three dollars...some people have ACTUALLY been known to fold when the bringin is raised. However I don't think there isany recorded instance of anyone folding at Paradise's 2/4 game, when the completion is just ONE MORE DOLLAR!!! In other words, you can protect your big pairs at PartyPoker, and you can't at Paradise and most other online sites. BTW Party also has a great 5-10 stud game! The most surprising is Poker Stars... their tournaments have the 1 to 3 ratio for brin in to completion and their ring games are the same one to two that other sites are. If you like this kind of complarison, come to www.pokerscene.com and ask. We are in the process of comparing sites but while the information isn't all compiled and ready for publication, I know most of the answers, or will find them for you, especially regarding the few sites that have good stud action!
