| I for one am glad Barry posted about this site in cardplayer. Maybe it will be a great site. If any of you have looked at RGP the last few days you know just how out of line some can get. Arlo | ||

| Seems like it is getting more weird to me too! And it is hard for that site to get more weird :-)! Roy Cooke on 17. I was enamored with RGP and contributed my time freely there for at least five years. I even gave two annual keynote speeches at their gathering in Las Vegas and publicly urged others to participate on the forum. But that newsgroup went from a friendly, family place where you could mingle and relax to one of intese hostility. It got to be no fun at all, so why should I and others contribute our best information there? I hope that, as our United Poker Fourm grows, it lives up to your expectations. | I'm with Roy - I'm trying to visualize r.g.p. getting stranger (but not interested enough to actually go look). That said, I should point out that BARGE (and its offspring, e.g. FARGO) continue to be a (largely) delightful convivial gatherings. I sense that I may even get to attend this BARGE coming year. | Hi, Lee -- I don't know if you've been posting regularly before this. If so, my greeting is belated. In any case, it's great to have someone of your calibre and expertise aboard the United Poker Forum. For those readers who don't know, among Lee Jones' contributions to poker is an almost-universally praised book called Winning Low-Limit Hold 'em. Many have embarked on their course toward poker profit by reading Lee's book. Straight Flushes, Mike Caro | ||
