If you play NL hold emturnament poker there are two main strategies to start with. One is playing more games then you normaly should (but still with dicipline) because of the low limits and then start to play more tight after awhile. I mean see more flops when it is cheap. In this case the opponent thinks you are loose and pays you off at the higher limits when you have a decent hand.

The other way to do it is to try to show up a dicipline attitude at the start, only play the best hands so you can buy the pots easier towards the end.

The latter strategy allows you to survive longer while the first one gives you a higher bankroll when you succede.

I know that turnament strategy is way more complex. But the question is should you play looser or tighter at the first levels of a NL turn compared to your normal play at the NL tables.

My thoughts along these lines are .....
I play according to the makeup of my current table..
Also remember this major factor that in smaller buy ins you dont get to sit that long at any one particular table cause theres changes all the time and rounds are 15 to 20 minutes long...theres movement even before the end of the first round occasionally..
In the major events you need to analyse the player make up and feel your way around..
Sometimes it will; benefit to play tight and other times loose..It will always come down to player makeup..Who`s tight behind ,,,who`s loose behind ,,who just raised in front etc etc etc..
Theres my brief thoughts..
