Hi Tyler

I think the "theory of poker" is the best book on poker. It will teach you concepts on how to think through situations in poker, not play a strategy by route!

The Theory of Book is a great book for someone who wants to understand poker concepts, poker terminology, and how poker players should think. It is beneficial to both novices and experienced players.

But you cannot simply read the Theory of Poker and then sit down in a hold'em or stud game offered in a casino or public card room and expect to do well.

If you want to learn the specifics of a particular game like hold'em or stud, then you need to read a book which focuses on that game.
