| Despite searchin through some litreture, I'm unable to find any particular information on Statistics. What value (if any) can i get from my statistics that are provided on the various internet sites, to improve my game. To try and assess if these are worth tracking, I have posted below some stats from a session i've just finished. I would be interested to know a) if there is info online or otherwise about the usage of this sort of statistic & b) what can be read about my recent game from the stats given below. If there is any interest then i'll post the results of the session later. Game is $1/2 limit holdem at a 10 seated table. Session start 4.35PM - Session Finish 6.15PM - 105 hands played Games won 7%, Showdowns won 36%, Flops Seen (incl blinds) 28%, Wins if flop Seen 21% Actions, Fold 60%, check 12%, call 15%, Bet 7%, Raise 5%, Re-Raise 0% Folded, Pre Flop 78%, Flop 8%, Turn 4%, River 1%, No fold 9% Any info would be much appreciated. Regards HH | ||

| Hi Harry I think too much of your focus is on statistics...Both strategy and reading hands is of greater importance in poker! Roy Cooke on 31. | In "Oswald Jacoby on Poker", OJ states, "But one should always bear in mind that in the final bets or bets the pyschology of one's opponents is much more important than any of the direct mathematical probabilities." One disadvantage of internet poker is that you can't see, hear or smell your opponents. Maybe some time soon we'll have webcam poker with voice. | ||
