I have played a lot at Paradise Poker, Higher limit Hold em and Stud. I have a real question about the integrity of these games, like computer generated people taking our money. As far as paradise is concerned, i dont think the game can be beat, Any feedback is appreciated

I hate to say it but I tend to agree. Seems like no matter what style I employ, I can`t finish an extended session on the plus side. I`m not a great player but I`m skilled enough that an occasional winning session should be in order. I think Paradise Poker is fixed.

I never played in the higher limits at Paradise, mainly 2/4 - 4/8 holdem, and thank god some of these newer rooms opened up, because come to think of it....those were the tuffest no-foldem holdem players i've ever faced! can't tell you how many times my flopped str8 or flush was rivered by a boat! i've never really thought about e-players being in use before, but it sure shed's a little light on "Paradise" i think...

I'm sorry to say this but my experience is the same. I have the normal up's and downs at the card clubs. But, at Planet Poker and Club Paradise I always have downs. Pocket A's with a set flop will lose to a 4-7 off suit with pre-flop raises by the 4-7 off suit and raises on all the turns with them making the inside straight on the river. This has happened more than once.

I deposited 100 dollars on paradise 4 months ago, I have now cashed out 6000 dollars, I am not a pokerbot, nor a house player, just a decent pokerplayer who knows how to pick the right games.
Of course one can lose a couple days in a row, or even 3, so one got to keep a decent bankroll even after cashing out, but if you constantly lose, it is because of your lacking skills, you might be the 10 best player in the world, but you will still be losing on a table playing against the top 9.

On a sidenote, my girlfriend who never played poker before was watching me play online, then I thaught her more, and she read a couple books, and she is now beating the 5 and 10 dollar tournaments at paradise, and also the 50 cents 1 dollar games.

I have seen bad beats of course, but nothing looking like paradise is cheating in any way.
and no cashout curse either I am still playing my initial 100.

look in the mirror, read up on your theory, and if you are one of the rocks who expect to win by playing ultratight, you are out of date, tight aggressive players will take your money.

I know that it is tough to understand that one's game is not good enoug (if thats the case) but knowing where you are at will add a dimension to your game, ask someone you know is a winning player to critisize your game, be open and learn from it, online poker is very beatable since the rake is lower than the Casinos, and the playerpool growing adding fish all the time.

gl, hope this helped and didnt piss you off :)

Perhaps this has all to do with the nature of "no foldem" holdem. When players will not fold, then you become subject to big swings in your bankroll, because the luck factor becomes more dominant. That means you must expect to be outdrawn more often.
I don't agree that playing like a rock is not an optimal strategy in these kinds of games. Most of these players don't care what hand you have, they just want to play. When that is the case, your best strategy is simply to wait for heavy cards, and bet them.
With a small bankroll though, chances are you'll get wiped out before you start to benefit from the edge you have over the maniacs.

I have had the same thing happen to me consistently at low limit stud on Planet Poker. For instance, I raised and reraised with small trips on 3 street and 2 or 3 drawing hands stayed. I have had more strong hands cracked playing poker on the internet than I have ever had playing in real life.

Because there are so many more hands dealt per hour in Internet poker the perception to the players is that there are more beats....and it is true, there are more beats! This is due to the fact there are more hands dealt. We all, as players, go through runs of cards that seem like the poker gods are giving our opponents what they want.

While I am only allowed to play promo events at PlanetPoker under my own name and recieve none of my winnings. I do play at other sites and my win rate on other Internet sites has been higher than corresponding live games.

the other question to ask is "why would paradise bother to cheat?"
they are making a fortune at rakes, so making some shady sysytem that would drive people away doesn't make sense.

the biggest worry i have online isnt being scammed by big brother, it is 2 or more yokels at my table gabbing away on cell phones and putting me at a monster disadvantage.
