It's No limit. You have pocket Q's. You limp in and are second to act. The flop is 8h, 9c & Jc. The first man to act goes all in with a large bet. Do you fold or call? I folded and got hell from my friends. I counted outs and other possiblities. He had a larger pocket pair. He had a flush draw. He made his straight. I had four outs for a 10 for my straight. I needed two running cards for a boat. An other Queen may have made my chances worse. Any comments?

You need to give more information. Is this a cash or tournament situation? Would you also be all-in with a short stack if you called? Is this opponent prone to making large bets on the flop? Did you have the club queen for defense? Would this player be content to pick up the small pot holding a big hand? Was this player one of the blinds? Suppose this player flopped a set or straight, wouldn't you expect something other than a big all-in bet at that point? Just from what you posted, I probably fold pocket queens there too. I don't see a decent advantage over anything other than top pair. Even if this player has a big draw, you're not much of a favorite. You're also way behind anything else except a stone cold bluff. I would wait for a better opportunity to try to double up unless I had a short stack here, assuming this is a cash game. If this was from a tournament, there are lots of other considerations and reasons to call.
