| Have been trying to beat a game online where 60% atleast are seeing the flop, most often unraised, then it appeares that if I bet only the best 1-2 hands stays, and that the other players that obviously knows eachother (tablechat) seems to be softplaying eachother. I am 'Live' Player, and play quite a few hands succesfully on other sites, but on this site I am losing. I guess that tightning up, playing only premium hands is the answer to beat this game, any other ideas? This site has an affilliate program, which might be the reason for this odd playing style, which is one of the reasons I dont like pokersites using affilliates to get more players. I play quite aggressive and have gotten a few comments from theses regulars that they didnt like that at all, which makes me hell bent on getting my money back before I cash out , even if I am sure I will be making less an hour than I am on other sites :) anyone with similar experiences? | ||

| I too play some on line poker, and I haven't seen any slo playing by friends, but there is an awful lot of check calling going on. I tend to believe it's just loose passive play. I've found playing tight aggressive is the answer to this syndrome. The key though is, of course, catching some cards (because they will always call). Realizing the beats you take will come about more often, because of so many people seeing the flop or turn, will help you to not tilt. This was my biggest adjustment, getting outdrawn even more than I thought possible. Eventually though strong, aggressive play will teach these other folks that it does not pay to see every flop. They will either learn or go broke. Hopefully the learning process will be paid to you (and me) as sort of a tuition in the game of poker. I paid my lo-limit tuition a few years ago. Eric | ||
