When i play online i always get a feeling that there may be some people who are comunicating.
Does this make for a real dis advantage for me?
also does anyone know if there is a online poker room that may help limit this if in fact i am correct?
what can i do to enjoy a great online game. its seems i do well sometimes but others it seems that alot of hands get beat badly like 3 player having pokets pairs
many players having ace flush when i carry a king flush

just wondering if its me or is online poker just a diffrent monster.

thanks mark

Hi Mark

PlanetPoker takes integrity very seriously by designing programs to stop online collusion. The fact that the computer can track hands as they are dealt and manangement can see hands after they are dealt gives online casinos advantages over live casinos in detecting collusion. By writing programs that flag methods of collusion we feel we go to all reasonable lenths to maintain the integrity of our games.

As far as the beats go...First I think that the standard of play online is lower than that of most public cardrooms since many of the Internet cardrooms customers come from locations that do not have public poker. That fact limits the general customer bases playing level. That said, when more people play inferior hands against you...you will experiance more bad beats. Also, Internet poker has twice as many hands dealt per hour over brick and mortar casinos. Therefore, you will get twice as many bad beats per hour. This gives the player the perspective that he is unluckier than he truly is.

So, in answer to your question...Online poker is a different monster :-)
Have fun and Good Luck
