They have not held it for a couple of years. They do have the WSOP mailing list and it tends to get a lot of foriegn visitors. I understand that there have been problems at Binions lately, but I think it will generate action. Hot...here in Vegas?...It never gets over 120 degrees! However, the casinos are air conditioned and the pools are full of sunbathing beauties, although golf in the afternoon may not be the best thing for our Canadian vacationers. A great place to stay is the Golden Nugget. It is pricier than the rest, however the pool is great. The Union Plaza downtown also as a good pool area. Staying downtown is cheap. The best low-limit games will probably be at Binions during the tournament. The Bellagio and Mirage also get vacationers into the games. Go to places that tourists frequent and the games will be better than those in casinos that market to locals! Roy Cooke | ||

| As Roy said the shoe has great low limit games...Mostly 4-8..during the day..I remember going there the first time and was in absolute bliss cause i could play holdem, omaha, 7stud and omaha8.. I basicly spent the whole trip there playing all the games i`ve studied but had little live experience at besides holdem..As well i got to play in some short handed games... here in ontario canada theres only holdem and no game starts without 11 players and a spare on the waitng list.. Also till the end of august there a two dollar rake max at the shoe.. jim on 2. Aug 2002 06:35 Roy Cooke wrote: > on 1. Aug 2002 19:23 Eexcuseme wrote: > > Is anyone going? Will it be any fun? | Staying downtown may be cheap, as Mr. Cooke says, but in my opinion, the best games are on the strip. My favorite places to play (in order) are Bellagio, Mirage, Mandalay, Orleans (off the strip), Luxor. I am also a "tourist", and find reasonable prices on the Strip, at Imperial Palace, etc. Check with your travel agent for good hotel prices on the strip. | ||
