| Hi, I used to play online poker frequently, until I discovered that my casino game had detoriated. Is there a corelation between the two venues? Thanks, | ||

I do think when you play live, you should focus harder on visual tells as playing online does reduce your visual feel. Roy Cooke

Online poker will not keep you sufficiently honed for real-world competition. Opponents don't pay as much attention to you online, so both manipulation and tells -- two key skills I rely on -- are much less important online. In general, I think you should stray less from your best basic game when playing online. You should make more adjustments in real-world games, because opponents are more aware of patterns of behavior. You vary your game more to confuse opponents in the real world. Online, shifting gears is still important sometimes, but not nearly as often Straight Flushes, Mike Caro

Remember a few things with online play the swings are much greater then Live play. Roughly 30 hands a hour playing live compared to 60 +'s hands a hour online. I find it's very easy to lose focus playing online. Because when you play so many hands online, you tend to want to be in more hands live (which means you play looser than you should). I hope this helps. LouieD
